연구실 소개
변지연 교수의 연구실은 피부질환의 광역학 치료 메커니즘과 면역 조절 작용을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 특히 5-아미노레비ulin산(ALA)을 활용한 강한 펄스 라이트(IPL) 치료가 피부세포와 섬유아세포에서 유도하는 사이토카인 발현, 특히 TGF-β1과 IL-10의 변화를 규명하며, 염증성 피부질환 치료의 새로운 전망을 모색하고 있습니다. 또한, 금속 알레르기와 관련된 피부병변의 원인 분석 및 화장품 내 금속 농도 분석을 통해 진단 및 예방 전략 개발에도 기여하고 있습니다.

Rosacea is one of the most common dermatoses of adults. Although the detailed pathophysiology remains unknown, it is thought that rosacea is caused by a consistently aberrant, innate immune response, and that LL-37 plays an important role. However, involvement of the inflammatory cytokine IL-33 has not yet been studied. We explored the role played by IL-33 in the pathophysiology of rosacea.
