연구실 소개
허진석 교수의 연구실은 주로 위장관 종양, 특히 췌장암과 대장암의 분자생물학적 특성과 치료 전략을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. KRAS 돌연변이의 예후적 영향, 이차성 병변의 진단 및 치료 전략 수립, 인공지능 기반 예측 모델 개발을 통해 개인화된 의료를 실현하고자 합니다. 특히 다기관 데이터를 활용한 기계학습 기반 예측도구 개발과 함께, 담도세포암, 췌장도강세포암 등 희귀 암의 유전적 기반과 표적치료 전략 탐색에도 주력하고 있습니다.

15A nomogram predicting malignancy in patients with BD-IPMN was constructed using a logistic regression model. This nomogram may be useful in identifying patients at risk of malignancy and for selecting optimal treatment methods. This is the first artificial-intelligence study with multi-center registry data to predict disease-free survival after the surgery of pancreatic cancer. The findings of this methodological study demonstrate that artificial intelligence can provide a valuable decision-support system for treating patients undergoing surgery for pancreatic cancer. However, at present, further studies are needed to demonstrate the actual benefit of applying machine learning algorithms in clinical practice.
BACKGROUND: The present study aimed to determine the optimal timing of pancreaticoduodenectomy (PD) following preoperative biliary drainage (PBD) with consideration of postoperative morbidity and survival. METHODS: Between January 2007 and December 2015, consecutive 1,568 patients underwent PD at a single institution. Their data were reviewed retrospectively.
