2020년 초 코로나19의 전 세계적인 유행으로 경기가 침체됨에 따라 대부분의 산업이 심각한 충격을 받았다. 특히 대규모 감염병 발생 시 최전선에서 활약하는 요양기관은, 이용 중 감염위험 우려에 따라 의료이용이 감소하여 매출 타격으로 이어질 가능성이 높다. 본 논문은 서울시 업종별 카드 매출 데이터를 사용하여 요양기관의 특성 및 시기에 따른 코로나19 영향의 정도에 차이가 있는지를 살펴보았다. 코로나19가 요양기관 매출에 미친 영향을 분석한 결과, 발생 초기에는 전체적으로 감소하였으나 시간이 지남에 따라 대부분 회복하는 것으로 나타났다. 의원급보다 병원급이, 환자 본인부담금이 큰 병·의원일수록 코로나19의 영향을 적게 받았으며, 회복에도 어려움이 적은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과를 정부의 감염병 대응 정책 수립에 적용해보면, 요양기관의 종류와 기간별로 차별화된 접근이 필요하다는 결론에 도달할 수 있다.

이 연구는 청소년의 디지털 매체의 사용 및 사회경제적인 요소들이 청소년들의 친구관계에 어떠한 영향을 주는지 이해하고자 한국 아동 청소년 패널 자료를 분석하였다. 분석방법은 패널 로지스틱의 임의효과(random effect) 모델을 사용하였다. 연구 결과는 청소년들의 친구와의 의사소통은 단순히 컴퓨터 및 휴대전화의 사용 빈도에 따라 일률적인 관계를 보이는 것은 아니며, 그들의 학업성취도와, 아버지의 교육정도, 어머니의 근로여부, 학생들의 성별 등을 고려할 때 유의미한 관계들을 보였다. 즉, 청소년들의 생활에 중요한 역할을 하고 있는 컴퓨터 및 휴대전화의 사용, 학생들의 학업성취도, 가정배경 요소 등이 복잡하게 청소년들의 대인관계 및 사회 적응에 영향을 줄 수 있다는 것을 보여준다.

국내 비급여 진료비의 지속적 증가는 국민 의료비 부담 상승을 포함한 다양한 사회적 문제들을 초래할 수 있다. 특히, 비중증 비급여 항목은 실손의료보험과 결합하여 과잉 진료되고 있어, 이에 대한 집중관리가 시급한 실정이다. 본 연구는 정부에서 과잉 비급여 진료를 완화하기 위해 시행한 비급여 진료비용 공개제도의 실효성을 분석하고자 하였다. 실증분석을 위해 패널 사건사 분석(Panel Event Study Analysis)을 활용하여 주요 결과를 도출하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 진료비용 공개에도 불구하고 의원급 비급여 진료비는 정책 시행 3년 이후 상승하였다. 둘째, 비중증 항목의 경우, 정책 시행 직후 가격의 편차가 중증 항목보다 심화된 것을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 의료 기관의 의료인 수와 환자 수는 비급여 진료 가격 형성에 영향을 미치고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통해 비급여 진료비용 공개제도가 진료비 상승 완화에 미치는 영향이 제한적이라는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 비

본 연구는 민간의료보험 가입에 따른 도덕적 해이를 가격효과로 인한 비효율적인 도덕적 해이(효용의 감소)와 소득 이전으로 인한 효율적인 도덕적 해이(효용의 증가)로 분리하여 우리나라에서 민간의료보험 가입이 사회적 효용에 미치는 영향에 대한 실증 분석을 진행하였다. 기존 마샬리안 수요곡선의 도덕적 해이를 산출하는 방식과 달리, Nyman은 의료의 가격을 낮추는 의료보험상품의 경우, 추가적인 의료 소비가 건강한 사람에게서 아픈 사람으로 이전되는 소득에서 발생되기 때문에 이를 제외한 새로운 수요곡선을 이용해 도덕적 해이의 크기를 산출하는 것이 적합하다고 제시하였다. 이 방법에 따라 한국의료패널 데이터를 이용해 민간의료보험 가입 시 발생하는 도덕적 해이의 크기를 추정한 결과, 비효율적인 도덕적 해이는 기존 수요곡선을 이용해 산출한 도덕적 해이 중 90.58%에 해당하고, 반대로 효율적인 도덕적 해이의 크기는 9.42%에 해당하는 것으로 나타났다.
