연구실 소개

김진혁 교수의 연구실은 만성 신장질환의 핵심 병리인 신우섬화와 섬유화의 분자 기전을 규명하고, 특히 페리오스틴(periostin)이 신장 섬유화에 미치는 영향을 중심으로 기초 및 임상 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 유전자의 기능을 분석하기 위해 유전자 변형 마우스 모델과 인 비트로 세포 배양 시스템을 활용하여, 페리오스틴의 발현 조절 및 신장 세포의 복구·재생 메커니즘을 탐구하고 있습니다. 또한, IgA 난류병 환자의 소변 페리오스틴 농도와 임상적 예후 간의 연관성을 분석하여, 페리오스틴을 새로운 생체지표로 삼을 수 있는 가능성을 모색하고 있습니다.
