연구실 소개
김진실 교수의 연구실은 주로 식품과 장내 미생물에서 유래하는 다제내성 병원성 박테리아, 특히 대장균과 샤론넬라, 캄필로박터 등에 초점을 맞추고 있으며, 이들 병원성 박테리아의 내성 메커니즘과 전파 경로를 밝혀내는 데 목적이 있습니다. 특히 유통 중인 닭고기에서 발견되는 다중항생제내성 대장균(ESBL-EC), mcr-1을 지닌 항생제내성 대장균, 그리고 항생제 내성 전파를 억제할 수 있는 프라지 기반 생물학적 제어 전략 개발에도 힘쓰고 있습니다. 장내 미생물과 병원성 박테리아 간의 상호작용, 특히 프로피온산이 병원성 샤론넬라의 생존에 어떻게 기여하는지에 대한 기전 연구도 진행 중입니다.
