연구실 소개
이 종 성 교수의 연구실은 아동기 천식 및 알레르기 질환의 유병률과 관련된 위험 요인을 규명하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 전국 대상의 대규모 설문 조사와 정밀 분석을 통해 천식, 비염, 습진 등의 유병 양상과 환경·생활습관 요인 간의 연관성을 연구하고 있습니다. 특히 국제적으로도 인정받는 ISAAC 설문지를 한국어로 적응화한 연구를 통해 국내 아동의 건강 문제에 대한 정책적 근거를 마련하고 있습니다.

2The purpose of this study was to estimate the national prevalence of childhood asthma and other allergic diseases in Korea, and to determine potential risk factors for the diseases. Stratified random samples of 42,886 were selected from 34 elementary (6-12 yr olds) and 34 middle schools (12-15 yr olds) nationwide, and 38,955 were in the final analysis.
