연구실 소개

정종식 교수의 연구실은 첨단 에너지 소재 및 환경 정화 기술을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 특히 고체 산화물 연료전지(SOFC) 전극 재료의 개발과 함께, 생물막을 이용한 암모니아 및 황화수소 동시 제거 기술에 초점을 맞추고 있으며, 나노구조 열전재료의 전기적·열적 성능 최적화에도 기여하고 있습니다. 이들의 연구는 에너지 효율 향상과 환경 오염 저감을 동시에 실현하고자 하는 응용 중심의 혁신적 접근을 담고 있습니다.

Long-Term Operation of a Biofilter for Simultaneous Removal of H2S and NH3

Simultaneous removal of NH3 and H2S was investigated using two types of biofilters--one packed with wood chips and the other with granular activated carbon (GAC). Experimental tests and measurements included analyses of removal efficiency (RE), metabolic products, and results of long-term operation (around 240 days). The REs for NH3 and H2S were 92 and 99.9%, respectively, before deactivation. After deactivation, the RE for NH3 and H2S were decreased to 30-50% and 75%, respectively. The activity
