15Angular correlations between charged trigger and associated particles are measured by the ALICE detector in p-Pb collisions at a nucleon-nucleon centre-of-mass energy of 5.02 TeV for transverse momentum ranges within 0.5 < p T,assoc < p T,trig < 4 GeV/c. The correlations are measured over two units of pseudorapidity and full azimuthal angle in different intervals of event multiplicity, and expressed as associated yield per trigger particle. Two long-range ridge-like structures, one on the near s
The PHENIX experiment at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider has measured the invariant differential cross section for production of ${K}_{S}^{0}$, $\ensuremath{\omega}$, ${\ensuremath{\eta}}^{\ensuremath{'}}$, and $\ensuremath{\phi}$ mesons in $p+p$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=200\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{GeV}$. Measurements of $\ensuremath{\omega}$ and $\ensuremath{\phi}$ production in different decay channels give consistent results. New results for the $\ensuremath{\omega}$ are in agreement with p
We report the first results of elliptic (v_{2}), triangular (v_{3}), and quadrangular (v_{4}) flow of charged particles in Pb-Pb collisions at a center-of-mass energy per nucleon pair of sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.02 TeV with the ALICE detector at the CERN Large Hadron Collider. The measurements are performed in the central pseudorapidity region |η|<0.8 and for the transverse momentum range 0.2<p_{T}<5 GeV/c. The anisotropic flow is measured using two-particle correlations with a pseudorapidity gap greater
We present an improved measurement of the standard model CP violation parameter $\mathrm{sin}2{\ensuremath{\varphi}}_{1}$ (also known as $\mathrm{sin}2\ensuremath{\beta})$ based on a sample of $85\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{6}$ $B\overline{B}$ pairs collected at the $\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ collider. One neutral B meson is reconstructed in a $J/\ensuremath{\psi}{K}_{S}^{0},$ $\ensuremath{
A bstract The ALICE experiment at the LHC has studied J/ ψ production at mid-rapidity in pp collisions at $ \sqrt{s}=7 $ TeV through its electron pair decay on a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity L int = 5 . 6 nb −1 . The fraction of J/ ψ from the decay of long-lived beauty hadrons was determined for J/ ψ candidates with transverse momentum p t > 1 . 3 GeV/ c and rapidity | y | < 0 . 9. The cross section for prompt J/ ψ mesons, i.e. directly produced J/ ψ and prompt dec
Azimuthal angle ($\ensuremath{\Delta}\ensuremath{\phi}$) correlations are presented for charged hadrons from dijets for $0.4<{p}_{T}<10$ GeV/$c$ in Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{{s}_{\mathrm{NN}}}=200$ GeV. With increasing ${p}_{T}$, the away-side distribution evolves from a broad and relatively flat shape to a concave shape, then to a convex shape. Comparisons to $p+p$ data suggest that the away-side can be divided into a partially suppressed ``head'' region centered at $\ensuremath{\Delta}\
We report the observation of the radiative decay B+-->K1(1270)(+) gamma using a data sample of 140 fb(-1) taken at the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB e+e- collider. We find the branching fraction to be B(B+-->K1(1270)(+)gamma)=(4.3+/-0.9(stat.)+/-0.9(syst.))x10(-5) with a significance of 7.3sigma. We find no significant signal for B+-->K1(1400)(+)gamma and set an upper limit B(B+-->K1(1400)(+)gamma)<1.5 x 10(-5) at the 90% confidence level. We also measure inclusive br
A bstract We present measurements of Underlying Event observables in pp collisions at $ \sqrt {s} = 0.9 $ and 7TeV. The analysis is performed as a function of the highest charged-particle transverse momentum p T,LT in the event. Different regions are defined with respect to the azimuthal direction of the leading (highest transverse momentum) track: Toward, Transverse and Away. The Toward and Away regions collect the fragmentation products of the hardest partonic interaction. The Transverse regio
We report measurements of the production of prompt D$^0$, D$^+$, D$^{*+}$ and D$^+_{\\rm s}$ mesons in Pb-Pb collisions at the centre-of-mass energy per nucleon-nucleon pair $\\sqrt{s_{\\rm NN}}=5.02$ TeV, in the centrality classes 0-10%, 30-50% and 60-80%. The D-meson production yields are measured at mid-rapidity ($|y|<0.5$) as a function of transverse momentum ($p_{\\rm T}$). The $p_{\\rm T}$ intervals covered in central collisions are: $1<p_{\\rm T}<50$ Gev/$c$ for D$^0$, $2<p_{\
The decays ${\overline{B}}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{D}_{sJ}^{+}{K}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ and ${\overline{B}}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{D}_{sJ}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}$ are studied for the first time. A significant signal is observed in the ${\overline{B}}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{D}_{sJ}^{*}(2317{)}^{+}{K}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ decay channel with $\mathcal{B}\mathbf{(}{\overline{B}}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{D}_{sJ}^{*}(2317{)}^{+}{K}^{\ensuremath{-}}\mathbf{)}\ifmmode\times\els
Using the Belle detector operating at the KEKB ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ storage ring, we have measured the mean multiplicity and momentum spectrum of neutral pions from the decays of the $\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(4S)$ resonance. We measure a mean of $4.70\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.04\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.22$ neutral pions per $\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(4S)$ decay.
We report a precise measurement of the J/$\\psi$ elliptic flow in Pb-Pb collisions at $\\sqrt{s_{\\rm NN}} = 5.02$ TeV with the ALICE detector at the LHC. The J/$\\psi$ mesons are reconstructed at mid-rapidity ($|y| < 0.9$) in the dielectron decay channel and at forward rapidity ($2.5<y<4.0$) in the dimuon channel, both down to zero transverse momentum. At forward rapidity, the elliptic flow $v_2$ of the J/$\\psi$ is studied as a function of transverse momentum and centrality. A positiv
First results on K/$\\pi$, p/$\\pi$ and K/p fluctuations are obtained with the ALICE detector at the CERN LHC as a function of centrality in Pb-Pb collisions at $\\sqrt{s_{\\rm NN}}=2.76$ TeV. The observable $\\nu_{\\rm dyn}$, which is defined in terms of the moments of particle multiplicity distributions, is used to quantify the magnitude of dynamical fluctuations of relative particle yields and also provides insight into the correlation between particle pairs. This study is based on a novel ex
