연구실 소개
성주헌 교수의 연구실은 체질량 지수, 체형, 식이 행동 등 신체적 특성과 질병 간 유전적·환경적 상호작용을 밝히는 데 초점을 맞춘 인구기반 유전체학 연구를 수행합니다. 주로 한국 쌍둥이-가족 등록부를 기반으로 한 장기적 코hort 연구를 통해 복합질환의 유전적 기초와 환경 요인의 영향을 분석하고 있으며, 비만, 암, 대사질환과 관련된 생체지표의 유전성과 위험도를 규명하고자 합니다. 특히 동아시아 인구를 대상으로 한 정밀한 유전 epidemiology 연구로 국내외에서 주목받고 있습니다.

To evaluate the association between height and risk of cancer in an East Asian, middle-income population, the authors followed up a cohort of 788,789 Koreans (449,214 men and 339,575 women) aged 40-64 years for cancer incidence between 1994 and 2003.
