연구실 소개

황준식 교수의 연구실은 열역학 및 유동현상의 기초적 이해를 바탕으로 하여, 에너지 변환 장치의 열역학적 성능 향상을 위한 실험적·수치적 연구를 주요로 수행하고 있습니다. 특히 가스터빈 냉각 채널, 연료전지, 직접분사 엔진 등의 열·유동 복합 현상을 다각도로 분석하며, 다공성 매질, 비정상 유동, 두상유동 등 복잡한 유동 환경에서의 열전달 및 압력 손실 메커니즘을 규명하고자 합니다. 실험 기반의 정밀 측정 기술과 고도화된 수치 모델링을 융합하여 실용적 응용 가능성을 확보하고 있습니다.

Convective heat transfer and friction drag in a duct inserted with aluminum foams have been studied experimentally. The combined effects of foam porosity (ε=0.7, 0.8, and 0.95) and flow Reynolds number (1900⩽Re⩽7800) are examined. Frictional drags for flow across the aluminum foam are measured by pressure taps, while interstitial heat transfer coefficients in the aluminum foam are determined using a transient single-blow technique with a thermal non-equilibrium two-equation model. A thermal-electrochemical coupled model is presented to predict electrochemical and heat transfer behaviors in a proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell. The Brinkman extension to Darcy flow describes the fluid flow characteristics in the porous electrodes. The Stefan-Maxwell correlations together with the Bruggemann modification illustrate the multispecies diffusion in the porous electrode.
