연구실 소개
김준영 교수의 연구실은 항생제 내성 세균의 분자적 분류와 진단 기술 개발에 초점을 맞추고 있으며, 특히 확장형 스펙트럼 베타라크탐ase(ESBL) 및 플라스미드 매개 AmpC 베타라크탐ase의 다중 PCR 진단법을 통해 빠르고 정확한 유전자 분류를 실현하고 있습니다. 또한, 구조적 생물화학적 접근을 통해 고리형 화합물의 나선 구조 제어 및 안정화 기술을 개발하며, 신약 후보 물질의 설계에 기여하고 있습니다. 최근에는 치료에 어려움을 겪는 약물유도성 뼈괴사(osteonecrosis of the jaw)의 치료에 인공성 파arathyroid 호르몬(teriparatide)을 적용한 임상 사례를 성공적으로 보고하기도 했습니다. 이와 더불어, 인공지능 기반 치료용 뼈구조 영상 분석 모델 개발을 통해 정밀의료와 디지털 헬스케어 분야로 연구 영역을 확장하고 있습니다.

15A multiplex PCR method has been developed to classify extended spectrum β-lactamase (ESBL) and plasmidmediated AmpC β-lactamase (PABL). To the Editor: Beginning in early May 2011, an outbreak caused by Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli O104:H4 was reported in Germany and other countries in Europe. In this outbreak, the number of hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS) cases has been unusually high (1). As of June 9, 2011, a total of 722 cases of HUS, 19 deaths, and 2,745 cases of enterohemorrhagic E. coli (EHEC) infection were reported (2).

In this study, we measured the drug resistance conferred by mdfA mutations in two Shigella flexneri strains. A mutant in mdfA genes was constructed by polymerase chain reaction-based, one-step inactivation of chromosomal genes.
