연구실 소개

이기봉 교수의 연구실은 고온에서의 이산화탄소 포집에 초점을 맞춘 첨단 재료 개발을 주요 연구 분야로 삼고 있습니다. 특히 수소탄탈라이트 기반 고온 흡착제와 질소 도핑된 탄소 소재를 활용해 CO₂의 고용량·고선택성 흡착 메커니즘을 밝혀내고 있으며, 화학적 흡착을 통한 효율적인 탄소 포집 기술의 실용화를 목표로 하고 있습니다. 다양한 표면 기능기를 갖춘 탄소 소재의 전자구조적 특성과 반응성 간의 상관관계를 이론적 계산을 통해 규명함으로써, 새로운 기초 원리를 제시하고 있습니다.

Physisorbents like zeolites, activated carbons, silica, and alumina gels have been traditionally used for separation of bulk or trace carbon dioxide from a gas mixture using a pressure or a thermal swing adsorption process.
