연구실 소개

김기현 교수의 연구실은 식량 안보와 환경 오염 문제를 연계하여, 토양-작물 시스템 내 중금속 및 플라스틱 오염의 이동 메커니즘과 인간 건강 영향을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 특히 식량 폐기물에서 생분해성 플라스틱인 폴리하이드록시알카노산(PHA)을 생산하는 바이오리파이너지 기반 기술 개발에도 주력하고 있으며, 지속 가능한 자원 순환 체계 구축을 목표로 합니다. 연구는 환경 과학, 분자 생물학, 환경화학의 융합적 접근을 통해 실질적인 환경 해결 방안을 모색합니다.
