연구실 소개
박경아 교수의 연구실은 망막 및 복합성 망막질환의 해부학적 변화를 고해상도 산란형광단층촬영(SD-OCT)을 통해 정량적으로 분석하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 특히 미숙아와 정상 출생아의 망막층 두께 및 망막하조직 두께의 발달적 특성, 그리고 옵티컬 네우로이티스, 다발성 경화증, 뉴로마이엘리스 옵티카 등 신경성 시신경질환에서의 망막층 퇴행 양상에 대한 정밀한 분석을 수행하고 있습니다. 또한, 인공수술성 안구에서의 퇴행성 변화, 예를 들어 퇴행성 안구질환과 관련된 이식된 인공수술렌즈 표면의 색소침착 및 녹내마 발생 위험성에 대해서도 임상적 추적 연구를 진행하고 있습니다.

The data, obtained using enhanced depth imaging optical coherence tomography, provide the choroidal thickness profile of healthy children. The characteristic choroidal thickness profile in children suggests a redistribution process of choroidal tissue with aging.
PURPOSE: To compare the retinal layer thickness of eyes with optic neuritis (ON) and that of control eyes and ON eyes with and without neuromyelitis optica (NMO) or multiple sclerosis (MS). We report 4 cases of pseudoexfoliation syndrome in which pseudoexfoliative material appeared on the intraocular lens (IOL) surface and glaucoma developed more than 8 years after cataract surgery. The IOL haptic was located in the ciliary sulcus in 3 eyes and in the capsular bag in 1 eye. This report suggests that careful follow-up is essential to monitor the development of glaucoma in patients with pseudoexfoliation syndrome, particularly when an IOL is implanted in the sulcus.
