연구실 소개
신경진 교수의 연구실은 미토콘드리아 DNA(MT- DNA)의 정확한 분석과 품질 관리를 위한 체계적인 생정보학적 도구 개발에 주력하고 있습니다. 특히, mtDNA의 핵심 영역인 제1·제2 이완영역(HV1, HV2)에서의 길이 이질성과 핵산서열 다형성 분석을 통해 법의학적 유전자 분석의 정밀도를 향상시키는 데 초점을 맞추고 있으며, 다중 복제 및 고속 시퀀싱 기반의 유전자 분석 기법도 함께 개발하고 있습니다. 이는 법의학적 증거 해석의 신뢰성을 높이고, 인구 유전학적 연구 및 의료 유전학 분야에도 기여하고자 합니다.
