연구실 소개

윤경식 교수의 연구실은 미토콘드리아 기능과 산화 스트레스가 연관된 만성 염증성 질환, 특히 장내 염증 및 대사질환의 분자 기전을 규명하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. MitoQ, 멜라토닌, 바이칼레인 등 생리적·천연물 기반의 항산화 및 세포 보호 물질이 세포 신호전달 경로와 미토콘드리아 기능에 미치는 영향을 분석하며, 특히 염증, 세포 사멸, ER 스트레스와 같은 핵심 생물학적 과정을 타깃으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 이와 더불어, 약물의 세포 생물물리적 특성 변화를 원자력 현미경(AFM)을 활용해 분석함으로써 약물의 세포 내 작용 기전을 다각도로 규명하고 있습니다.

Pharmacogenetics

A case-control study was performed to assess the potential influence of catechol O-methyl transferase (COMT) genotype on the risk of breast cancer in Korean women. One hundred and sixty-three histologically confirmed incident breast cancer cases and 163 age- and menopausal status-matched control individuals with no present or previous history of cancer were selected as study subjects. COMT genetic polymorphism was determined by gel electrophoresis after NlaIII enzyme digestion of amplified DNA.
