연구실 소개

이창협 교수의 연구실은 중성자별 병합과 블랙홀 병합 등 극한 천체 물리 현상을 중력파와 전자기파를 융합한 다중메신저 천문학을 통해 연구합니다. 특히 GW170817과 GRB 170817A의 연속 관측를 바탕으로 이중성자별 병합이 단기 금속성 파동우주론적 현상의 원천임을 규명하고, 동적 방출 물질의 질량 추정 및 중성자별 상태방정식 해석에 기여하고 있습니다. 고감도 중력파 탐지기 데이터를 활용한 신호 모델링과 통계적 분석을 통해 천체 물리학적 메커니즘을 정량적으로 규명하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다.

A Quantum Heuristic Algorithm for the Traveling Salesman Problem

We propose a quantum heuristic algorithm to solve the traveling salesman problem by generalizing the Grover search. Sufficient conditions are derived to greatly enhance the probability of finding the tours with the cheapest costs reaching almost to unity. These conditions are characterized by the statistical properties of tour costs and are shown to be automatically satisfied in the large-number limit of cities.
