이경민 교수의 연구실은 정형외과 분야에서 신뢰도와 정확도를 평가하는 통계적 방법론, 특히 내적 상관관계계수(ICC)의 적용과 오류를 분석하며, 특히 뇌성마비 환자에서 하지 기능 평가의 정밀도를 높이기 위한 신체검사법의 타당성과 신뢰성을 체계적으로 연구하고 있습니다. 또한 발목과 발의 변형, 특히 히프트 발목 외반·내반 변형과 엄지발톱 비대로의 정량적 평가 지표를 제안하며 임상적 적용 가능성을 모색하고 있습니다. 연구는 주로 정형외과 임상 검사의 정량적 평가와 신뢰도 분석을 중심으로 진행됩니다.

15BACKGROUND: Intra-class correlation coefficients (ICCs) provide a statistical means of testing the reliability. However, their interpretation is not well documented in the orthopedic field. BACKGROUND: The purpose of this study was to analyze kinematic trunk motion data in normal adults and to investigate gender effect. while the Thomas test showed the highest intraclass correlation coefficient and the smallest mean absolute difference, the Staheli test was the most valid method for detecting hip flexion contractures in patients with cerebral palsy. Although the Staheli test cannot be used for intraoperative assessment, we recommend that this test be included in preoperative physical examinations to determine the role of a hip flexion contracture in the abnormal gait of patients with cerebral palsy.
