이승아 교수의 연구실은 생물의학적 센서 기술과 나노재료를 융합한 혁신적 연구를 주도하고 있습니다. 특히 금속 나노입자 기반의 광학적 증폭 기법(MEF), 단일 분자 수준의 단백질 진단 기술(TIRFM 및 나노어레이 기반 칩), 그리고 의료 영상 및 수술 중 림프절 전이 탐지 기술을 통해 정밀의료와 조기 진단의 가능성을 확장하고 있습니다. 또한 에너지 수확 기술과 항암 치료 내성 극복 전략 등 응용 분야로의 확장을 지속하고 있습니다.

Gold-nanopatterned single interleukin-6 sandwich immunoassay chips with zeptomolar detection capability based on evanescent field-enhanced fluorescence imaging

We developed a gold-nanopatterned immunoassay chip for single-molecule detection of interleukin-6 based on evanescent field-enhanced fluorescence imaging. The detection limit (496 zM) means that only four molecules need to be present per spot for detection. The sensitivity of this chip is ~5.4 × 10(4)-fold greater than that of a commercial ELISA for IL-6.

Selective fluorescent-free detection of biomolecules on nanobiochips by wavelength dependent-enhanced dark field illumination

Individual silver nanoparticle-conjugated target protein (cTnI) molecules on gold-nanopatterned chip were selectively detected by wavelength dependent-enhanced dark field illumination. Using specific nanoparticles with unique sizes and materials, the immunotargeted nanoparticle on the chips was detected at the single-molecule level by monitoring changes in the plasmonic resonance based on wavelength dependence.
