이영자 교수의 연구실은 이중어 구어장애(비특이적 언어장애)의 진단과 조기 간병의 중요성을 다루며, 특히 다국어 환경에서 언어 발달에 어려움을 겪는 어린이들의 언어 능력 향상에 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 또한 문학적 텍스트, 특히 이야기 읽기의 언어 수업 내에서의 역할을 심층적으로 분석하여 독자의 몰입과 이해의 기제를 탐구하고 있습니다. 연구는 언어 장애의 진단과 언어 교육의 실천적 접근을 연결하는 데 기여하고 있습니다.

3The aim of this paper is to explicate the nature of bilingual specific language impairment (SLI) addressing the need to identify it. Reading a story is getting involved in the dialogue with the story. What experiences do the readers share with the people, events and thoughts in the story and the author? To answer these questions, we analyze the story, Make Way for Ducklings by McCloskey (1941). Using the concepts of Frame, Involvement, and Evaluation, our analysis shows that the dialogue is multi- layered, both story and dialogue with the story are organic, and getting engaged in the dialogue is crucial to grasp the coherence
