연구실 소개
류민옥 교수의 연구실은 수의학 영상의학과 방사선치료를 중심으로 한 종합적 암 치료 전략 개발에 주력하고 있습니다. 특히 헤드앤넥 종양의 정밀 방사선 치료 계획 수립을 위해 CT-MRI 융합 영상 기반의 정확한 종양 영역 묘사와 치료 후 영상 동역학 분석을 중점적으로 연구하고 있습니다. 또한 고령 동물에서 발생하는 급성 위장질환, 예를 들어 위확장·반전증과 같은 생명을 위협하는 질환의 진단 및 치료 전략에 대한 임상적 접근도 함께 진행하고 있습니다.

3A 10-year-old poodle with left maxillofacial osteosarcoma received volumetric modulated arc therapy delivering 32 Gy in four fractions. Treatment planning was guided by computed tomography-magnetic resonance imaging (CT-MRI) fusion for precise target delineation near the globe. Serial CT and MRI up to 12 months after treatment showed transient enlargement of intratumoral cysts with fluid-fluid levels immediately after treatment, indicating pseudoprogression, followed by marked tumor regression.
Gastric dilatation and volvulus (GDV) is an acute and life-threatening disease most commonly affecting large- and giant-breed dogs. However a 17-year-old Shih-tzu (4 kg, spayed female) was hospitalized for acute GDV. Repeated unproductive retching, lethargy, and excessively enlarged abdomen were observed. Physical examination indicated that the patient had suffered from hypothermia (36.5oC), tachycardia (240 bpm), slowed capillary refill time (> 2 sec.), and pale mucous membrane. Grade III murmu
