연구실 소개
백민렬 교수의 연구실은 뇌졸중 및 척수질환의 조기 진단과 혈관재활치료의 최적화를 목표로 하며, 특히 급성 뇌졸중 환자에서 혈관재관치료의 흐름과 결과에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 체계적으로 분석하고 있습니다. 또한 서핑과 관련된 희귀 척수질환인 서퍼스 마이엘로파티의 임상 양상과 영상 소견을 규명함으로써, 운동 중 발생할 수 있는 신경학적 합병증에 대한 인식 제고와 조기 대응 전략을 모색하고 있습니다. 이와 함께 코로나19 패안 기간 동안 뇌졸중 환자의 치료 접근성 변화에 대한 실증적 연구를 통해 의료 시스템의 연속성 유지 전략을 모색하고 있습니다.

Surfer’s myelopathy is a rare nontraumatic spinal cord disorder associated with surfing. This study reports three patients with surfer’s myelopathy. All patients were young males who were previously healthy and first-time surfers at the onset of their symptoms.
