강문성 교수의 연구실은 수자원 시스템의 정밀한 분석과 관리를 목표로 하며, 특히 저류지의 수문학적 수밸런스 분석, 수질 오염 관리, 그리고 농업용수 공급의 안정성 확보를 핵심 연구 분야로 삼고 있습니다. 수위 관측 자료를 기반으로 유입·유출량을 추정하는 분석 프레임워크 개발과 함께, 재활용 폐수의 농업적 이용 효과 및 수질 변화에 대한 영향 평가도 진행 중입니다. 특히 한국의 해안저류지에서 발생하는 수질 악화 문제에 대비한 수위 조절 및 종합적 수자원 관리 전략 수립이 주요 과제입니다.
