연구실 소개
조명래 교수의 연구실은 천연물에서 유래한 생활학적 활성 성분, 특히 해조류 및 약용식물에서 추출한 폴리페놀, 플라보노이드, 히알루론산 유사 다당류(fucoidan) 등의 항산화 및 생리활성을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 특히, 항산화 활성과 효소 억제 작용(아세틸콜린에스터라제, 모노아민산화효소 등)을 통해 신경퇴행성 질환 예방에 기여할 수 있는 물질의 규명에 초점을 맞추고 있으며, 식품 및 생체재료의 유리성질 제어를 위한 다당류의 륨적 거동 분석도 함께 수행하고 있습니다. 이와 같은 연구를 바탕으로 천연물 기반의 기능성 소재 개발과 건강기능식품, 의약품 신소재의 기초 연구를 선도하고 있습니다.

The effect of fucoidan and its oversulfated derivative on starch digestibility was investigated by determining the enzymatic reaction kinetics and their inhibitory activity against α-amylase and amyloglucosidase. After the α-amylase hydrolysis, the produced reducing sugars of the buckwheat starch (BW, 2.0–3.0 g/100 mL) and those of the blends of BW with low levels of native fucoidan (NF, 0.5–1.0 g/100 mL) and oversulfated fucoidan (OSF, 0.5–1.0 g/100 mL) were in the range of 440–450 mg/g starch.
Eight compounds were isolated from the roots of Glycyrrhiza uralensis and tested for cholinesterase (ChE) and monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitory activities. Abstract Rheological properties of fucoidan (F) and buckwheat starch (B) mixtures (3% or 6%) at different blending ratios of fucoidans (0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.5 and 1.0%) were investigated in steady and dynamic shear.
