김명수 교수의 연구실은 생체의학적 응용을 중심으로 한 나노소재 및 분석 기술 개발에 주력하고 있습니다. 특히 표면 증강 라만 분광법(SERS)을 활용한 생체 분자의 표면 상호작용 분석과, 생체 분해능을 고려한 나노입자 합성 메커니즘 규명이 핵심 연구 방향입니다. 또한, 이들의 연구는 임상적 응용과 연계된 정밀의료 기술 개발에도 기여하고 있습니다.

Abstract Surface‐enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) of adenine, adenosine, 2′‐deoxyadenosine, 5′‐dAMP, 5′‐rAMP, 5′‐rADP and 5′‐rATP adsorbed on aqueous Ag sol has been investigated. A shift of the adenine ring breathing mode from 746 to 735 cm −1 with increasing adenine concentration is interpreted as reflecting the reorientation of adenine on the Ag surface. Abstract Surfac‐enhanced Raman spectra of L ‐tryptophanylglycine ( L ‐Trp‐Gly) and L ‐tryptophanylglycylglycine ( L ‐Trp‐Gly‐Gly) adsorbed on a silver surface were obtained. More detailed investigations than in a previous study on the surface‐enhanced Raman scattering from L ‐tryptophan ( L ‐ Trp) and glycyl‐ L ‐tryptophan (Gly‐ L ‐Trp) were also made. Recurrence increased to 44% with longer follow-up, but this did not limit the graft outcome. Recurrence was not affected by the kind of live donor. We conclude that live related or unrelated kidneys should be offered to IgAN patients.
We achieved excellent outcomes by using a donor exchange program as an option to reduce the donor organ shortage. However, the exchange donor program has no added benefit for blood-type O recipients.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the efficacy of metformin as a radiosensitizer for use in combination therapy for human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Three human HCC cell lines (Huh7, HepG2, Hep3B) and a normal human hepatocyte cell line were treated with metformin alone or with radiation followed by metformin. Congenital nephrotic syndrome (CNS) is a rare and uniformly fatal disease if it is not treated. Although renal transplantation has been a successful treatment, there remains a high mortality rate during the first year of life before transplantation.
