연구실 소개

이명현 교수의 연구실은 광학 소자 및 생체재료 분야에서 다학제적 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 주요 연구 방향은 고속 광통신을 위한 저손실 폴리머 기반 파장분할 multiplexing(WDM) 소자와 표면 플라즈몬 파를 이용한 칩 간 광인터커넥트 기술 개발이며, 동시에 줄기세포 배양 조건에서의 세포 반응을 조절하는 나노구조 표면 및 생체모방 단백질 기반 생체재료 개발도 진행하고 있습니다. 특히, 폴리머 기반 광소자, 양자점 나노복합막, 그리고 세포 유도를 위한 생물재료 표면 기술이 핵심입니다.

We demonstrate a novel on-board chip-to-chip optical interconnect using long-range surface plasmon polariton (LR-SPP) waveguides that feature 2.5-cm-long gold strips embedded in a low loss polymer cladding. Polarisation-independent all-optical circulatingshiftregister based on self-phase modulation ofsemiconductor optical amplifier

The authors propose and experimentally demonstrate a polarisation-independent all-optical circulating shift register (CSR) based on self-phase modulation of a semiconductor optical amplifier, which is very insensitive to the polarisation of the input pulse train and requires very low switching energy (~176 fJ). An all-optical 91 bit CSR was constructed for an input pulse stream at 2.897 GHz, and a high extinction ratio of 20 dB or more was obtained.

The PbSe nanocrystals were synthesized without impurity from lead oleate and Se(TOP) by heating in phenyl ether. The particle size increases the synthesis temperature. The PbSe QD / PPA nanocomposite was made with the synthesized PbSe nanocrystals and the amine-containing PPA polymer by using the ligand exchange method. The PbSe nanocrystals were well dispersed in the PbSe QD / PPA nanocomposite. The PbSe QD / PPA nanocomposite film has the broad PL peak around 1300 nm with FWHM of ~ 170 nm. The
