나오미치 야마모토 교수의 연구실은 대기 중 곰팡이와 박테리아의 분포, 이동 경로 및 인간 건강에 미치는 영향을 다각도로 연구합니다. 특히 실내외 대기 중 곰팡이 및 박테리아의 입자 크기, 분포, 침강 속도, 그리고 환기와 내부 오염원이 개인 노출에 미치는 영향을 분석하며, 실시간 유전자 분석 기법을 활용해 알레르기 원인 미생물의 정량적 평가를 추구합니다. 이 연구들은 천식, 만성 호흡기 질환 등에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 환경적 요인을 규명하는 데 기여합니다.
