연구실 소개

강상희 교수의 연구실은 대장암, 뇌종양, 난치성 뇌종양 등 다양한 암의 진행 메커니즘을 분자생물학적·유전자적 관점에서 규명하고 있습니다. 특히 미세환경 신호전달, 전사인자(예: FOXM1, IRF7), 암세포 간성 및 약물 반응(예: 메트포르민)과 같은 핵심 분자 기전을 중심으로 임상적 적용이 가능한 치료 전략을 개발하고 있습니다. 수술의 스트레스와 의료진의 직무 만족도 문제에 대해서도 의료현장의 실질적 문제를 연구함으로써, 임상과 기초 연구를 융합한 종합적 암 연구를 수행하고 있습니다.

Metformin, a first-line drug used to treat type 2 diabetes, has also been shown to have anticancer effects against a variety of malignancies, including colorectal cancer. Although inhibition of the mTOR pathway is known to be the most important mechanism for the antitumor effects of metformin, other mechanisms remain unclear.
