연구실 소개

박상영 교수의 연구실은 천체 임무 설계 및 우주 임무 최적화를 핵심으로 하며, 지구와 충돌할 수 있는 near-Earth 천체의 궤도 조작과 충돌 방지 전략을 수립하는 데 주력하고 있습니다. 특히 저추력 추진체를 활용한 최적 궤도 설계, 전력 시스템의 효율적 운영, 그리고 전기 버스 시스템의 체계적 설계 등 다양한 분야에서 최적화 기법을 응용하고 있습니다. 연구는 천체역학, 우주비행역학, 에너지 관리, 도시 이동수단의 전환 전략 등 다학제적 접근을 통해 실현 가능성을 높이고 있습니다.

Using astrometric interferometry on near-Earth objects (NEOs) poses many interesting and difficult challenges. Poor reflectance properties and potentially no significant active emissions lead to NEOs having intrinsically low visual magnitudes. Using worst case estimates for signal reflection properties leads to NEOs having visual magnitudes of 27 and higher.
