Measuring and Reporting Electrical Conductivity in Metal–Organic Frameworks: Cd

Electrically conductive metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) are emerging as a subclass of porous materials that can have a transformative effect on electronic and renewable energy devices. Systematic advances in these materials depend critically on the accurate and reproducible characterization of their electrical properties. This is made difficult by the numerous techniques available for electrical measurements and the dependence of metrics on device architecture and numerous external variables. Th

Single-Ion Li[superscript +], Na[superscript +], and Mg[superscript 2+] Solid Electrolytes Supported by a Mesoporous Anionic Cu–Azolate Metal–Organic Framework

A novel Cu(II)–azolate metal–organic framework (MOF) with tubular pores undergoes a reversible single crystal to single crystal transition between neutral and anionic phases upon reaction with stoichiometric amounts of halide or pseudohalide salts. The stoichiometric transformation between the two phases allows loading of record amounts of charge-balancing Li[superscript +], Na[superscript +], and Mg[superscript 2+] ions for MOFs. Whereas the halide/pseudohalide anions are bound to the metal cen

despite having a finite band gap, a large surface area, and a strongly anisotropic transport. Density functional theory calculations suggest that these properties arise from the preserved symmetry-protected Dirac cone trivial topology within the layer-stacked bulk structure, governed by radicals in the quartet-state linker. This study establishes a general design strategy in which linker geometry is leveraged to suppress interlayer coupling, enabling experimental realization of monolayer-like el

Organophosphorus nerve agents with extreme toxicity have been still used in the past few years. Recent advances in Zr-based metal-organic framework (MOF) catalysts have emerged as promising platforms for efficient nerve agent degradation, based on highly active Zr6 nodes and further enhancement of the activity via ligand functionalization. However, catalytic optimization confined to proximal modulation, where functional groups often interact with substrates, and thus impacts of outer-sphere modu

Nowadays, zirconium metal-organic frameworks attract more attention because of their robustness and their easier predictability in terms of topology. Herein, we have been able to control synthetic parameters in order to construct two new 2D MOFs with the same sql topology. Both materials, ACM-10 and ACM-11, have been characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis, and UV-vis spectroscopy. Their textural, electrochemical, and conductivity properties are presented al
