김세영 교수의 연구실은 한국어 독해와 다국어 뇌 기반 처리 메커니즘을 중심으로, 언어의 형태론적 구조와 시각적 자소체계가 뇌 인지에 미치는 영향을 다룹니다. 특히 한국어의 고유한 자모 조합 방식과 복합어 처리 과정에서 나타나는 시각적·형태적 암묵적 활성화 현상, 그리고 다국어 독해 시 언어 간 상호작용과 뇌 네트워크 유사성에 대해 실험적·뇌영상적 접근을 펼칩니다. 연구는 주로 마스크드 프라밍, 청각·시각적 자극 기반 인지실험, 그리고 fMRI를 활용한 신경가공 모델링을 통해 진행됩니다.
