연구실 소개
곽세현 교수의 연구실은 폐질환 분야에서 다학제적 접근을 통해 신약 발굴과 조기 진단 기술 개발에 주력하고 있습니다. 특히 폐섬유톱과 만성 폐질환의 병태생리 기전을 밝히고, 기존 약물의 새로운 적응증을 탐색하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있으며, 인공지능 기반 영상 진단 기술의 임상적 활용도를 높이는 데 기여하고 있습니다. 최근에는 폐기능 저하와 정서적 요법의 연관성, NTM 폐결핵의 환경적 위험 요인 등 다양한 폐질환의 병태생리적 메커니즘을 규명하고 있습니다.

BACKGROUND: Although depression is a common comorbidity of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), the role of sex remains unexplored.
