For commercialization, the top emission device structure is more advantageous than the bottom emission device structure to realize the high aperture ratio full color displays. Moreover, it is essential to understand not only the device structure and characteristics of QD‐LEDs but also the challenging issues in inkjet‐printed devices. Here, we demonstrated the world first all inkjet‐
Vaterite, a type of calcium carbonate, has recently raised the potential for use as a drug delivery material and a filler for bone defects due to its high specific surface area and solubility, low specific gravity, and high porosity. However, existing methods of producing fine-particle vaterite exhibit limitations that annexed processes such as adding excessive additives or irradiating ultrasound are necessary, and mass production is impossible. We developed a simple, chemical additive-free, low
Indirect carbonation is a technology for carbon capture, utilization, and storage that is used to reduce the concentration of CO2, and it may be also used to produce vaterite for drug delivery materials. However, vaterite is difficult to produce at the sizes and production volumes required for these applications. In this study, we investigated the effects of sucrose additions to seawater in an indirect carbonation process to increase CO2 storage, generate vaterite, and reduce CaCO3 particle size
Inkjet‐printing of electroluminescent quantum dot (EL‐QD) devices is a revolutionary technology aimed at large‐size panel production, high material consumption efficiency and lower manufacturing costs. Here we demonstrate all‐inkjet‐printed 12.4‐inch full color EL‐QD display with 182 ppi resolution. We improved device performance by controling carrier transport property and charge balance through ligand exchange in QDs and ZnMgO surface.
Abstract Quantum dot light‐emitting diodes (QD‐LEDs) have received significant attention as a next‐generation display technology aimed at large‐size panel production with lower manufacturing costs and excellent picture quality. Here, we demonstrated all‐inkjet‐printed 12.4‐in. full‐color QD‐LED display with the 182‐ppi resolution. The efficiency and lifetime of inkjet‐printed QD‐LEDs were improved through the ligand exchange of Cd‐free quantum dots (QDs), red and green InP and blue ZnSeTe QDs, a
Surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) of an antifungal reagent, myclobutanil (MCB), was performed on Au and Ag nanoparticles (NPs) to estimate the drug-release behaviors in fungal cells. A density functional theory (DFT) calculation was introduced to predict a favorable binding site of MCB to either the Ag or Au atom. Myclobutanil was presumed to bind more strongly to Au than to Ag in their most stable, optimized geometries of the N4 atom in its 1,2,4-triazole unit binding to the metal atom.
Nanosized vaterite, which exhibits characteristics such as high specific surface area, porosity, and biocompatibility, has attracted research attention for use as a drug delivery material. However, fatal drawbacks such as high costs, difficulty in mass production, and toxicity exist in conventional nanosized vaterite production owing to the use of a large amount of organic solvents to forcibly suppress the vaterite recrystallization and particle growth. Therefore, nanosized 100 % vaterite was pr
A mixed-basis band-structure interpolation scheme has been used to generate a semiempirical band structure of CuCl (zinc-blende structure). The pseudopotential parameters in the interpolation scheme were determined by fitting eigenvalues obtained from angle-resolved photoelectron spectro- scopy data. Partial densities of states for CuCl were obtained by projecting s-, p-, and d-like components out of the mixed basis and compared with uv photoemission and x-ray emission data taken from the litera
The economic challenges arising from resource depletion and uneven distribution of Mg in land reserves have spurred interest in technologies for Mg extraction from seawater. Thus, this study introduces a novel method to recover high-purity magnesium carbonate, specifically hydromagnesite, from seawater through carbonation using Ca(OH)₂ as an alkali source. A significant achievement of this method is the production of high-purity hydromagnesite despite the presence of large amounts of Ca, realize
The electronic structures and bonding configuration of histidine on Ge(100) have been investigated with various sample treatments using core-level photoemission spectroscopy (CLPES). Interpretation of the Ge 3d, C 1s, N 1s, and O 1s core level spectra being included in these systems revealed that both the imino nitrogen in the imidazole ring and the carboxyl group in the glycine moiety concurrently participate in the adsorption of histidine on a Ge(100) surface at 380 K. Moreover, we could clear
