연구실 소개
강신혁 교수의 연구실은 뇌전이성 암, 특히 메라노마와 간질라모아의 분자 기전을 규명하고자 하며, STAT3 신호전달 경로가 뇌전이 및 종양 생존에 미치는 영향을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 특히 뇌전이의 유전적·분자적 기전을 해독하고, 혈액뇌장벽을 효과적으로 통과할 수 있는 기존 약물(예: 항정신병제)의 재창출을 통해 새로운 치료 전략을 모색하고 있습니다. 뇌종양의 치료 내성 메커니즘을 해소하기 위한 간질라모아 구형세포(GSCs) 모델을 활용한 약물 스크리닝도 핵심 연구 분야입니다.

15Brain metastasis is a major cause of morbidity and mortality in patients with melanoma. The molecular changes that lead to brain metastasis remain poorly understood. In this study, we developed a model to study human melanoma brain metastasis and found that Stat3 activity was increased in human brain metastatic melanoma cells when compared with that in cutaneous melanoma cells. The expression of activated Stat3 is also increased in human brain metastasis specimens when compared with that in the
STAT3 plays an important role in glioblastoma angiogenesis and migration triggered by hypoxia. Therefore, STAT3 might be a target for control of pseudopalisading necrosis and angiogenesis in glioblastoma.
The values of the base of the working zone have a wide distribution. Blind puncture of annulus by the working cannula or obturator may be dangerous. A 34-year-old man presented with an acute epidural hematoma that resolved within 24 hours after a fall. On admission, neurological examination found no abnormalities.
