연구실 소개
송수정 교수 연구실은 망막질환, 특히 노인성 황반변성(AMD)과 당뇨병성 망막병변의 유병률, 위험인자 및 분류에 중점을 두고 있습니다. 특히 한국인을 대상으로 한 임상 기반의 융합 연구를 통해 진단 및 치료 전략의 개선을 도모하고 있으며, 신속하고 정밀한 진단 기술과 약물 전달 시스템의 개발도 함께 진행하고 있습니다. 연구는 임상적 실용성과 기초 생물학적 메커니즘을 연결하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다.

15In this study, the prevalence of early AMD was similar to other studies though the prevalence of late AMD was low. High blood pressure as well as age was a risk factor of early AMD. South Koreans may have a higher prevalence of PCV than white populations. These findings provide preliminary information for further investigation of AMD in South Koreans.
