홍송남 교수의 연구실은 통신 시스템의 효율성과 성능을 극대화하기 위한 첨단 기술을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 특히, 저해상도 ADC를 적용한 MIMO 시스템에서의 신호 검출, 분산형 안테나 시스템에서의 계산 및 전송 최적화, 그리고 저비용·저전력 장치에 최적화된 신호 처리 기법에 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 또한, 분산 온라인 학습 및 극한의 양자화 조건 하에서도 높은 성능을 내는 신호 처리 프레임워크 개발에도 기여하고 있습니다. 이는 실시간 데이터 처리와 스마트한 통신 인프라의 핵심 기술로 발전하고 있습니다.
