박수현 교수의 연구실은 뇌의 시각적 인지 기능과 신경망의 기능적 조직 원리를 밝히는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 자연스러운 시각 자극 상황에서의 뇌 활동, 특히 얼굴 인식에 관여하는 촉수 구조의 분산적이고 병렬적인 신경 네트워크 기능을 고해상도 신경 기록과 fMRI를 융합해 연구합니다. 또한, 억제성 뉴런의 시냅스 수용체 특성과 뇌 전반의 기능적 연결성에 기여하는 개별 뉴런의 역할을 전기생리학적 및 영상 기반 기법으로 탐구하고 있습니다.

Ionizing radiation suppresses neurogenesis in the mammalian brain. This in vitro study compared the detrimental effect of acute gamma-irradiation on immature hippocampal cells with mature cells. Both rat immature (0.5 day in vitro (DIV)) and mature hippocampal cells (14 DIV) were irradiated with 0-4 Gy gamma-rays.
