강석호 교수의 연구실은 로봇 보조 외과 수술 기술의 발전과 비침습적 진단 생물학적 지표 개발을 중심으로 활동하고 있습니다. 특히 로봇-assisted 라파로스코픽 방광절제술(RARC)의 수술법 최적화와 내시경적 유전자 생물학적 마커(예: 미크로RNA)를 활용한 비침습적 암 진단 기술 개발에 주력하고 있습니다. 또한 수술 교육의 효율성 향상을 위한 가상현실 기반 훈련 플랫폼 개발과 병원 내 수액 관리가 회복 과정에 미치는 영향에 대한 임상적 분석도 진행 중입니다.

RARC seems to be associated with equivalent complication rates, a smaller amount of estimated blood loss, lower transfusion rate, shorter length of hospital stay, shorter time to flatus, and more lymph node yield. Rate of complete PC in RCC is relatively low in this study. The risk factors for pseudocapsular invasion were a histologic diameter greater than 4cm, non-clear cell histology, and an incomplete PC.
