연구실 소개
강석민 교수의 연구실은 주로 신경종양, 특히 치명적인 뇌종양인 거대세포 뇌종양(Glioblastoma)의 치료 전략을 모색하고 있으며, 칼슘 이온 신호전달 경로와 관련된 단백질(특히 IP3R3)을 표적으로 삼아 암세포의 증식과 전이를 억제하는 약물 개발에 주력하고 있습니다. 또한 기존의 심리질환 약물(예: 트리플로페리진)이 암세포에 미치는 영향을 재도전하는 약물 재창출 전략을 적극적으로 연구하고 있습니다. 심부전, 폐암 치료 후 부작용, 열 스트레스 반응 등 다양한 질환과 환경 요인에 영향을 미치는 생리학적 메커니즘을 규명하는 데에도 관심을 기울이고 있습니다.
