연구실 소개

손석수 교수 연구실은 다핵소성합금(Medium- and High-Entropy Alloys)의 강도 및 연성 향상을 위한 새로운 메커니즘을 중심으로 연구를 전개하고 있습니다. 주요 연구 방향은 레이티스 비정상성에 기인한 고강도 구조, 변형계단형 연성 메커니즘, 그리고 변형유도상전환에 기반한 기계적 거동 제어입니다. 특히 초미세다공구조, 고밀도 경계, 반공명상태의 나노입자 분포 등을 통해 1.5GPa 이상의 항복강도와 뛰어난 연성을 동시에 확보한 혁신적 합금 설계를 이룩했습니다. 이는 고성능 구조재의 실용화를 위한 핵심 기반 기술로 평가되고 있습니다.

We introduce a novel transformation-induced plasticity mechanism, i.e., a martensitic transformation from fcc phase to bcc phase, in medium-entropy alloys (MEAs). A VCrFeCoNi MEA system is designed by thermodynamic calculations in consideration of phase stability between bcc and fcc phases.
