15Our goal was to evaluate early results of the clinical application of autologous whole bone marrow stem cell transplantation (AWBMSCT) for critical limb ischemia (CLI) in patients with Buerger's disease. We retrospectively analyzed the data of 58 limbs of 37 patients (mean age, 43.0 years; range, 28-63 years; male, 91.9%) with Buerger's disease with CLI who were treated with AWBMSCT from March 2013 to December 2014. We analyzed Rutherford category, pain score, pain-free walking time (PFWT), tota
There are several reports of adenocarcinoma developing within adenomyosis of the uterus, but imaging features of MRI, including diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) and positron emission tomography (PET)-CT, have not been published. Herein we report a rare case of endometrioid adenocarcinoma arising from subserosal cystic adenomyosis to emphasise the unusual growth features, as well as the imaging findings of the tumour on MRI and PET-CT.
As a curative surgery for ACD, vessel excision with interposition grafting is a better strategy to prevent recurrence than simple cyst excision alone.
Aorto-carotid bypass is effective for treating Takayasu arteritis with cerebrovascular ischemia, and the results suggest that postoperative blood pressure should be strictly managed to prevent intracranial hemorrhage.
After ATKFPB, autologous vein grafts showed significantly better long-term results compared with PTFE grafts.
Arterial stenosis caused by atherosclerosis often requires stent implantation to increase the patency of target artery. However, such external devices often lead to in-stent restenosis due to inadequate re-endothelialization and subsequent inflammatory responses. Therefore, re-endothelialization strategies after stent implantation have been developed to enhance endothelial cell recruitment or to capture circulating endothelial progenitor cells. Notably, recent research indicates that coating ste
Posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES) is an uncommon but distinctive clinical-radiologic entity characterized by headache, seizures, visual disturbance, and altered mental function associated with reversible white matter edema affecting the posterior parietal and occipital lobes of the brain. Although PRES is caused by a variety of conditions, acute elevation of blood pressure, fluid retention, and treatment with immunosuppressive drugs and/or anti-neoplastic agents are the main ca
