이선미 교수의 연구실은 전염병의 전파 메커니즘을 수리모델링을 통해 분석하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 주로 말라리아, 결핵, HIV, 인플루엔자, 코로나19와 같은 감염병의 전파 동역학을 수학적 모델링과 실증 데이터를 융합하여 연구하며, 예방 전략의 효과를 평가하고 최적의 공중보건 정책을 도출하는 데 기여하고 있습니다. 특히, 감염자와 유증상자 간의 전파 패턴, 초과 전파자(Super Spreading) 현상, 백신 및 항바이러스 치료의 영향을 분석하는 데 특화되어 있습니다.
