임성희 교수의 연구실은 주로 생체 분자의 정밀 감지 및 병원성 미생물, 암 치료의 표적 단백질 등에 대한 고감도 색채도 센서 기반 진단 기술을 개발하고 있습니다. 특히 당류, 유해 가스, 병원성 박테리아의 대사 산물 등을 정량적·정성적으로 구분할 수 있는 저비용·간편한 색채도 센서 어레이 기술을 핵심으로 하며, 이는 감염병 조기 진단과 암 치료의 개인화에 기여합니다. 또한, 혈액에서 병원체를 빠르게 탐지하는 대사 프로파일링 기반 진단 플랫폼 개발에도 주력하고 있습니다.
