연구실 소개
신성재 교수의 연구실은 결핵 및 관련 미세박균 감염의 병원체인 매독균, 마이코박터이움 등에 대한 기초 및 응용 연구를 중심으로 전개하고 있습니다. 특히 Mtb 및 M. paratuberculosis의 병원성 기작, 면역 반응 조절 단백질(예: RpfE, Rv0577)의 기능과 TLR 수용체를 통한 면역세포 활성화 메커니즘을 규명하며 백신 및 치료제 개발의 기초를 마련하고 있습니다. 또한, 병원성 미생물의 정밀 진단 및 약물 감수성 평가를 위한 분자진단 기술과 약물 스크리닝 체계 개발에도 기여하고 있습니다.
