이성주 교수의 연구실은 이동성이 높은 환경에서 효율적인 통신을 구현하기 위한 모바일 애드혹 네트워크와 무선 센서 네트워크의 핵심 기반 기술을 연구하고 있습니다. 특히, 제한된 대역폭과 배터리 수명, 빈번한 링크 끊김 등 실시간 환경 변화에 대응하는 반응형 라우팅 및 멀티캐스트 프로토콜 설계에 중점을 두고 있으며, 이와 더불어 에너지 효율적인 클러스터링 및 임베디드 환경에서의 실시간 비전 기반 동물 모니터링 기술까지 응용 연구를 확장하고 있습니다. 연구는 네트워크 성능 최적화와 실생활 적용 사례 간의 다리 역할을 하고 있습니다.
