연구실 소개
조성원 교수의 연구실은 주로 생체 발달 및 질병 메커니즘을 규명하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있으며, 특히 치아 형성의 유전자 조절 메커니즘과 만성 염증성 질환, 예를 들어 췌장 섬유화와 같은 조직 섬유화 과정에서의 신호전달 경로(예: TGF-β, Shh, Wnt/BMP)의 기능을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 또한 간염 바이러스 변이의 진화와 결합된 항바이러스 치료의 영향, 관절염 치료를 위한 수술적 접근(예: 고경부골절제술)의 임상적 결과 분석 등 임상과 기초를 아우르는 다학제적 연구도 수행하고 있습니다. 특히 단백질 발현 조절과 세포 발암성 간의 관계를 분석하는 분자생물학적 접근도 강점입니다.
