연구실 소개
이순민 교수의 연구실은 간세포질암의 발생 기전을 규명하기 위해 바이러스성 온코프로테인, 특히 B형 간염바이러스 X 단백질(HBx)이 유도하는 에피제네틱 변화에 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 특히, 유전자 내 CpG 도시(인트라제닉 CpG 도시, iCGI)의 메틸화 조절 메커니즘과 DNMT 효소가 유전자 발현에 미치는 영향을 중심으로, 에피제네틱 변화와 유전적 변형이 간암 진행에 어떻게 상호작용하는지 탐구하고 있습니다. 또한, 배아줄기세포에서의 성세포 형성 과정에서의 에피제네틱 리셋 메커니즘과 Rho GTPase를 통한 면역세포의 식세포 작용 조절 메커니즘 등 다양한 생물학적 과정의 에피제네틱 조절 원리를 규명하고 있습니다.
