본 연구는 경쟁가치모형(CVM)을 적용하여 공공스포츠조직의 조직문화를 분석하였다. 이를 통하여 조직문화에 대한 실질적인 분석에서 조직문화가 특정한 단일 유형으로만 나타나지 않는다는 한계점을 극복함과 동시에 어떤 형태의 조직문화 프로필이 긍정적인 조직유효성 향상에 기여할 수 있는지 확인하고자 하였다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여, 5개 공공스포츠조직 종사자를 대상으로 설문지를 배포하여 회수한 후, 185명의 자료를 실질적인 분석에 이용하였다. 분석 결과, 공공스포츠조직의 전체적인 조직문화 프로필은 위계문화가 지배적인 것으로 나타났으며, 군집분석 결과 도출된 4개 조직문화 군집들 중에서 네 가지 조직문화 유형인 관계문화, 혁신문화, 위계문화, 과업문화 모두의 중심이 양의 값으로 나타나는 강한균형문화 프로필에서 조직유효성이 가장 긍정적인 것으로 나타났다. 반면에, 위계중심문화에서 조직유효성은 가장 부정적인 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 본 연구의 결과는 공공스포츠조직이 한 가지 유형의 조직문
