연구실 소개
유태현 교수의 연구실은 당뇨병성 신손상과 만성 신질환의 핵심 병태생리인 신우세포 사멸과 섬유화 메커니즘을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 특히 페로포토시스, 피로포토시스, 아폽토시스 등 다양한 세포사 경로와 TGF-β1, Notch 신호 경로, suPAR 등 핵심 유전자 및 혈액 인자들이 신장 섬유화에 미치는 영향을 분자생물학적·세포생물학적 접근으로 규명하고 있습니다. 또한, 엑소좀 기반 약물 전달 시스템을 활용한 정밀 치료 전략 개발도 함께 추진하고 있습니다.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: Nephrotic syndrome (NS) is a rare manifestation of IgA nephropathy (IgAN). Clinical characteristics and long-term outcomes of this condition have not yet been explored. DESIGN, SETTING, PARTICIPANTS, & MEASUREMENTS: A multicenter observational study was conducted between January 2000 and September 2010 in 1076 patients with biopsy-proven IgAN from four medical centers in Korea. Kidney fibrosis is a common pathophysiological mechanism of chronic kidney disease (CKD) progression caused by several underlying kidney diseases.
