김태환 교수의 연구실은 통신 및 반도체 분야의 핵심 기술인 광전자 및 고속 전자회로 설계에 중점을 두고 있습니다. 특히, 고속 광송신장치, 단일 칩형 광학 배열, 고효율 전류-전압 변환 증폭기 등 차세대 통신 인프라를 위한 통합 회로 및 소자 기술을 연구하고 있습니다. 또한, 나노소재와의 융합을 통해 고성능 광학 및 메모리 소자를 개발하고 있습니다. 이는 자동차용 LiDAR, 고속 데이터 센터, 그리고 초고속 통신 기술의 실현을 위한 핵심 기반 기술입니다.

We review the design trade-offs that exist in CMOS inverter-based shunt-feedback transimpedance amplifier (SF-TIA) when optimizing for energy efficiency. We analyze the performance of series and shunt inductive peaking techniques for bandwidth enhancement and identify the most effective one for low-power CMOS TIAs. As a design example, we present a 128-Gb/s single-ended linear transimpedance amplifier (TIA) intended for use in receivers for 400-G Ethernet optical modules and co-packaged optics.
Ga-doped n-type ZnO (ZnO:Ga) films were grown on sapphire substrates by rf magnetron sputtering and their structural, electrical and optical properties were characterized in detail. It was observed that high quality single crystal ZnO:Ga films are obtained, containing up to 1 wt% of Ga. XRD 측정으로부터 증착된 박막의 결정구조는 <TEX>$200^{\circ}C$</TEX> 이하에서 (111) 면의 우선 배향성으로 보이다가 <TEX>$350^{\circ}C$</TEX> 이상에서 (220) 면의 우선 배향성을 가지는 다결정 입방구조임을 확인하였다. An all-digital nonlinear transmit-side equalization technique based on Model Predictive Control (MPC) is presented. This paper presents the implementation of a high-throughput successive-cancellation decoder for a 1024-bit polar code. The proposed decoder processes the kernels in two successive layers in a fused manner within a cycle, so as to reduce the cycle count taken to decode a codeword.
